Welcome to ACCUTE!

The Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English (ACCUTE) is a non-profit professional organization representing faculty teaching English in Canadian universities and colleges, and students studying English at the graduate level. Since its founding in 1957, ACCUTE has been an effective voice in the Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences. ACCUTE organizes a national conference as part of the Federation’s annual Congress of the Humanities and Social Sciences, and the two organizations co-operate in advocacy on behalf of the Humanities and English Studies in government, educational and public forums. Membership in ACCUTE includes a regular newsletter; access to our website with job postings; calls for papers and other information; a subscription to our journal, English Studies in Canada; and eligibility to participate in the annual conference.
