Founded in 1973 as the Canadian Association of Commonwealth Literature and Language Studies (CACLALS) and now known as the Canadian Association for Postcolonial Studies (CAPS) is a non-profit organization that brings together critics, scholars, teachers, students, and writers who share an interest in Commonwealth and postcolonial literatures, oratures, and other forms of cultural production, as well as the versions of the English language they employ. The Association provides members with an international context for studying Canadian literature, fostering a deeper understanding of Canada's multicultural tradition and of cultures in other parts of the world.

Required Fees:
1. Membership Fee:
It must be paid before registering for CAPS 2025 Conference; all presenters must be paid members.
If not already a member, please pay your membership fees by 10 March 2025.
2. Registration Fee for CAPS 2025 Conference (see the table below for applicable category and fee):
· Take advantage of the early-bird discount and register by 11:59 pm on 15 March
· All presenters must register for CAPS 2025 Conference even if $0 category is applicable to you.
To present at CAPS 2025 Conference, you must pay both fees: Membership Fee and Registration Fee for Conference. Please pay your membership fee before paying your conference registration fee. If you are already a paid member for this year, thank you for your support; you will need to pay only the relevant conference registration fee, but before that, please read the next item to see if it is applicable to you.
IMPORTANT: Carry-Over of Paid Conference Registration Fee from CAPS 2024 at McGill
CAPS 2024 at McGill was cancelled; however, several members had paid their conference registration fees but were not refunded. At the 2024 AGM it was decided to carry forward those registrations to CAPS 2025. Therefore, those who paid CAPS 2024 Registration Fees but did not receive a refund are not required to pay CAPS 2025 Conference Registration Fees. However, they must be a paid member for this year and register for the 2025 Conference using the category "Carry-Over From CAPS 2024 at McGill" (amount $0.00) in the link below titled "Registration Fee Categories and Important Dates."
